i don't remember when i saw it but the moment i finished watching the trailer for this movie i was completely in love with it. i knew i had to see it before the oscars. just by watching the short little trailer i knew i would love this movie. and i did! i watched it the other night with a friend. i loved it so much. not only did everything look amazing (the costumes were perfect. carey mulligan is like a present day audrey or coco) but i felt the story to be really relatable. it's a great teenage girl coming of age type of story. there are a lot of funny bits, too.

just today it was announced that they've got 2 nominations for the oscars this year! carey mulligan for best actress, best picture and best adapted screenplay. i thought carey was absolutely wonderful in the movie. she was just so beautiful and heartwarming and such a wonderful actress. if i were to be able to act like anyone in the entire world, i would choose carey mullgian. she's apparently the hollywood "it girl" right now, which i totally agree with. i watched her on david letterman and craig ferguson. she was wonderfully girly and shy and polite, all at the same time.

please see this movie! i think girls will like it more than guys but it's still a great flick.

xoxo
